Job summary

AvonRisk is seeking a qualified Claims Adjuster II to investigate, evaluate, and adjust auto and general liability claims, often with low to medium exposure. The role requires legal and technical competency to handle diverse claims.

The position is fully remote with a preference for California residents. Regular travel for mediations, settlement conferences, and hearings is expected and may exceed two hours each way.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required; relevant work experience will be considered.
• At least 5 years of experience adjusting auto and general liability claims.
• Governmental immunity experience a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and process auto, bodily injury, property damage, and general liability claims.
• Consult police and hospital records, examine photographs and statements, and take recorded statements as needed to render a sound liability position.
• Negotiate settlements including Medicare, Medi-Cal, provider, and attorney liens.
• Maintain CMIS records and prepare timely status reports for clients.
• Communicate with injured workers, employers, carriers, counsel, and vendors throughout the life of each claim.
