Job summary

AvonRisk, part of Intercare family, is seeking an Adjuster III to investigate, evaluate, and adjust medium to complex liability and auto claims across multiple states. The role requires legal and technical qualifications to handle complex cases, with travel for hearings and settlements as needed.

The successful candidate will manage records, communicate with clients, gather evidence, and support litigation processes while upholding regulatory and company procedures.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree (preferred).
• Possess comprehensive knowledge relating to handling of public entity liability claims.
• At least five (5) years’ experience with insurance claims, self-insurance, pooled insurance, or JPAs.
• At least two (2) years using claims management software and/or ability to learn new software systems.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, analyze, and determine client liability for personal, casualty, or property loss or damages.
• Interact with clients, medical professionals, witnesses, and claimants to gather information.
• Prepare timely reports and maintain case records on CMIS.
• Assist with defense counsel and manage litigation-related tasks.
• Travel to litigation hearings and settlements when needed.
