Job summary

Lucid Motors in Newark, CA is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer for General Assembly to drive scalable production. You’ll own DFMA reviews, process documentation, dimensional control, tooling and equipment readiness, and launch execution across the General Assembly line.

You’ll partner with Design, Quality, Operations, Maintenance, Facilities, and Supply Chain to ensure safe, efficient production. A strong background in automotive assembly is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 6 years of experience developing, validating, or launching complex assembly processes.
• 4 years in automotive OEM, Tier 1 supplier, or high‑volume manufacturing.
• Experience creating process documentation including work instructions, PFMEAs, and QA plans.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to perform essential duties.

Responsibilities

• Lead DFMA reviews for General Assembly programs to improve manufacturability and launch readiness.
• Advance general assembly processes from concept to prototype Builds and production handoff.
• Define equipment, tooling, fixtures, and layout requirements for safe, scalable production.
• Develop dimensional-control strategies to support assembly accuracy and quality.
• Plan and execute manufacturing launch activities, including installation and risk mitigation.
• Create and maintain work instructions, PFMEAs, and quality control plans.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to resolve constraints and align decisions.
