Lucid Motors USA, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer, General Assembly to take concepts through scalable production. You will drive design-for-manufacturing reviews, establish process documentation, and ensure production readiness with cross-functional teams.

You will own launch activities, collaborate on equipment readiness, and improve quality, throughput, and cost metrics across General Assembly programs at our Newark, CA site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 6 years of experience developing, validating, or launching complex assembly processes.
• 4 years of experience in automotive OEM/high-volume manufacturing.
• Experience creating process documentation (work instructions, PFMEAs, quality plans).
• English proficiency to perform essential duties including safety procedures and communications.

Responsibilities

• Lead design-for-manufacturing reviews for General Assembly programs and improve manufacturability, quality, ergonomics, throughput, and launch readiness.
• Develop and transition assembly processes from concept through prototype builds to production handoff.
• Define equipment, tooling, fixtures, and layouts supporting safe, repeatable production processes.
• Develop dimensional-control strategies to support assembly accuracy and product quality.
• Plan and execute manufacturing launch activities, including prototype builds and risk mitigation.
• Create and maintain work instructions, PFMEAs, and quality control plans for production readiness.
• Collaborate with Design, Quality, Operations, Maintenance, Facilities, Supply Chain, and suppliers to resolve constraints.
