Job summary

Lucid Motors is hiring a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer for General Assembly in Phoenix, AZ. You will own equipment projects from scope through validated production handoff, ensuring safe installation and capable processes for high‑volume EV production.

The role requires a strong background in assembly, tooling, and equipment integration, with hands‑on ownership of the full lifecycle and close collaboration with Design, Quality, and Operations. Onsite work is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 6 years of manufacturing engineering experience in assembly operations, equipment integration, production launch, or a related manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of assembly processes, tooling, automation, equipment integration, and production‑launch execution.
• Experience preparing technical documentation or RFQ inputs and supporting design reviews, acceptance testing, installation, commissioning, or operational handoff.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform the essential duties of the position, including understanding work instructions, safety procedures, and job‑related communications.

Responsibilities

• Define equipment strategies, specifications, and RFQ packages aligning safety, quality, cycle time, throughput, maintainability, timing, and cost.
• Evaluate supplier proposals and support supplier selection and on‑time delivery.
• Lead equipment projects from design through build, FAT, installation, and ramp‑up.
• Develop schedules, budgets, risk registers, open‑issue lists, and recovery plans for launches.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams to resolve technical and launch issues with clear ownership.
• Define acceptance criteria for safety, ergonomics, quality, and performance before handoff to Operations.
• Deliver validated equipment and documentation for smooth handoff to Operations.
