Job summary

Crum & Forster is seeking a Principal AI Engineer to lead AI solution architecture and delivery of enterprise AI across underwriting, claims, policy servicing, and corporate functions.

You will partner with business and technology stakeholders to define scalable patterns, ensure secure, responsible AI, and drive flagship initiatives in a largely greenfield environment with remote work options across the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, data science, or related field.
• 10+ years in software engineering, solution architecture, platform engineering, or AI/ML development.
• 4+ years building Generative AI or LLM-based production solutions.
• Experience designing agentic AI systems in production.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and delivery of enterprise GenAI/Agentic AI solutions.
• Define reusable AI capabilities and patterns across teams.
• Provide technical sign-off across AI readiness gates.
• Build AI-powered assistants, copilots, workflow automation, and retrieval systems.
• Utilize AWS Bedrock and related technologies for scalable AI apps.
