Job summary

CSAA IG, a leading insurer, seeks a Principal Software Engineer to drive emerging technology and AI initiatives in a remote role across the United States. You will lead hands-on experiments, prototype solutions, and mentor engineering teams while shaping enterprise standards and deliverables.

You will work with Architecture, AI Strategy, security, and delivery teams to evaluate platforms, design architectures, and translate research into scalable, production-ready outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus 10+ years in software engineering.
• Expertise with AI/GenAI and emerging technologies.
• Experience with cloud platforms and enterprise integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on technical leadership for emerging tech and AI experiments.
• Design prototypes, proofs of concepts, and pilots translating concepts into scalable solutions.
• Mentor engineers and influence enterprise architecture and engineering standards.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to evaluate platform fit, security, and governance.
