Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group (CSAA IG) is seeking a Principal Software Engineer focused on Emerging Technology & AI in a remote role across the United States. You will lead hands-on technical work, prototype AI experiments, and collaborate with architects and delivery teams to translate findings into scalable solutions.

You will mentor engineers, shape standards, and drive enterprise adoption while partnering across Enterprise Architecture, AI Strategy, and platform teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience.
• Experience with cloud-native services and platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on technical work across AI experiments and prototypes.
• Evaluate platform fit, security, and governance with EA teams.
• Mentor engineers while delivering executable prototypes.
• Design prototypes and pilots across diverse tech stacks.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to scope experiments and estimates.
