Job summary

DNV Energy Systems North America seeks a Gas Generation Power Senior Engineer SME with deep experience in conventional and flexible thermal generation to support M&A, IE, and OE advisory services. The role focuses on evaluating gas turbines, boilers, and related systems across North America, translating findings into actionable advice for developers and investors.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least five years in thermal power generation.
Ability to translate complex technical issues into clear, decision‑oriented insights for stakeholders.
Experience evaluating plant performance, reliability, and lifecycle risk.

Responsibilities

Lead technical evaluations of thermal assets and portfolios.
Assess plant condition using operating history, outage data, and heat rate trends.
Support technical due diligence and owner’s engineering scopes, including major contracts and financial input validation.
Communicate findings to developers, owners, lenders and investors.
