Job summary

DNV Energy Systems North America is seeking a Gas Generation Power Senior Engineer SME with deep experience in conventional and flexible thermal generation to support advisory services across M&A, Independent Engineering, and Owner’s Engineering.

The role is based in multiple US offices with a dynamic hybrid schedule: approximately three days per week on-site or at client locations, enabling integration of technical due diligence with project development and financing insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, or related).
• At least five years in thermal power generation with conventional and flexible assets.
• Ability to translate complex issues into clear insights.
• Knowledge of EPC and O&M contracts and their risk impacts.

Responsibilities

• Lead thermal evaluations across advisory engagements.
• Assess plant condition, reliability, and lifecycle considerations.
• Review major equipment configurations and project contracts.
• Support technical due diligence and owner’s engineering scopes.
• Present clear, decision-oriented technical findings to stakeholders.
