Job summary

DNV Energy Systems North America is seeking a Gas Generation Power Senior Engineer to lead technical advisory work for gas turbine and boiler systems across M&A, IE, and OE engagements.

The role requires deep thermal experience, the ability to translate complex asset data into risk-informed recommendations, and willingness to travel up to 15%. Hybrid work across North American offices is supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, or related).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in thermal power generation.
• Ability to translate complex technical issues into clear insights for stakeholders.
• Strong AI and digital fluency in evaluating asset performance.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% and operate in a multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the thermal technical lead across advisory engagements on gas turbines, steam turbines, boilers, engines, and related systems.
• Lead technical evaluations of assets and portfolios, identifying risks and value drivers.
• Assess plant condition and performance using historical data and maintenance records.
• Support technical due diligence, IE, and OE scopes with design reviews and contract evaluations.
• Participate in site visits, field assessments, and technical interviews.
