DNV Energy Systems North America seeks a Gas Generation Power Senior Engineer SME with deep experience in conventional and flexible thermal generation to support advisory services across Mergers & Acquisitions, Independent Engineering, and Owner’s Engineering. Role requires practical operating knowledge of power plants and strong decision‑grade technical advice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Minimum 5 years in thermal power generation with design and operation knowledge.
• Ability to evaluate plant performance, reliability, and risk.
• Familiarity with EPC and O&M contracts and their risk impact.
• Strong English communication; willing to travel ~15%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as thermal technical lead across advisory engagements for gas turbines, steam turbines, boilers.
• Lead evaluations of assets; identify risks, value drivers, lifecycle considerations.
• Assess plant condition and performance using history, outages, heat rate trends.
• Support due diligence, IE, and OE scopes; review designs and EPC/O&M agreements.
• Translate findings into decision-grade technical advice for developers and investors.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver insights.
