Job summary

Eversource Energy in Somerville, MA is seeking an engineer to plan, develop, schedule, and perform assignments related to the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of gas distribution and pressure regulating systems, including major projects. You will analyze, recommend, and implement projects, and may supervise on-call staff.

The role requires a BS in Engineering, a minimum of five years of related gas experience, and willingness to travel across MA/CT/NH.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum of five (5) years of related engineering experience.
Gas experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Designs systems or installations to fit the Company’s objectives and ensures compliance with codes and regulations.
Performs site layouts and prepares documents for procurement, permitting and construction.
Prepares projects for bid, schedules bid meetings and may assist with budget planning and cost estimating.
Develops and maintains field procedures to ensure compliance with standards and regulations and assists in overseeing construction activities.
Coordinates construction activities with customers, contractors and internal departments.
Reviews requisitions and invoices; provides budget reports and cost tracking.
