Job summary

Eversource is seeking an experienced engineer to support the design, maintenance, and operation of our gas distribution system. You will help develop life cycle plans, evaluate failures, and provide resolution in collaboration with peers across strategy and design teams.

The role requires a BS in Engineering or Engineering Technology with at least three years of relevant gas industry experience, and a willingness to travel between MA and CT.

Qualifications

• Requires theoretical and conceptual knowledge to develop and evaluate processes and regulatory requirements in the gas distribution business.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of standard office software including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement tactical and strategic plans to reduce risk and improve asset condition in compliance with energy regulations.
• Analyze data, generate reports, and propose solutions for projects and risk reduction.
• Coordinate with risk, safety, and regulatory groups; support incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Assist with annual capital budgets and long-range plans and present to senior management.
