Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking an experienced engineer to design, develop, and manage gas distribution and pressure regulating systems. The role involves planning, scheduling, and performing engineering assignments across major projects, with supervision on-call duties as needed.

The position requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field and 5–8 years of engineering experience; gas experience is a plus. Travel to MA/CT/NH and an office-based environment are typical.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology or related discipline.
• Five to eight years of related engineering experience.
• Gas experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Designs systems or installations to fit objectives while conforming to standards and regulations.
• Prepares procurement, permitting and construction documents; coordinates labor and materials.
• Prepares bids, schedules bid meetings and assists with budget planning and cost estimates.
• Develops field procedures to ensure compliance with standards and codes; oversees construction activities for compliance.
• Coordinates construction with customers, contractors, and internal departments.
