Job summary

Zwift, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Game Systems to own core game systems and graphics across iOS, Windows, Android, Mac, and Apple TV.

You will write high-quality C++ code, optimize rendering performance, and drive engine improvements. You will collaborate with game engineers, backend teams, product managers, and artists to design, test, and deliver features, build developer tools, and ensure reliability across devices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant engineering experience, with 2+ years of experience in game graphics and/or game engine development.
• Strong expertise in C++ development and high-performance applications.
• Experience with shading languages such as GLSL, GLSL ES / ESSL, and MSL.
• Familiar with Git and version control workflows.
• Experience with CI/CD and automated testing frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement game engine features and systems in C++ for all Zwift platforms (iOS, Windows, Android, Mac, Apple TV), ensuring optimal performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, plan, test, and deliver high-quality features.
• Drive in-depth performance analysis, profiling, and optimization across all platforms to improve CPU, memory, and startup times.
• Build tools and frameworks to improve development workflows.
• Debug and resolve complex issues across devices and platforms to improve reliability.
• Contribute to code reviews, design discussions, and team planning processes.
• Ensure code quality through automated testing (unit, integration, etc.).
• Advocate for and implement engineering best practices like CI/CD pipelines and modular code.
