Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical or Materials Science.
• 5+ years of experience performing stress analysis on fuselage or related structures.
• 3+ years of experience performing stress analysis on composite structures.
• Prior experience with aircraft, heavy structures, hardware systems or interiors manufacturing/production systems.

Responsibilities

• Operates as a structural analyst or lead on Boeing 787 Fuselage primary structure and signs technical documents.
• Performs stress analysis using hand methods, FEM tools, and dynamic simulation tools.
• Leads development, integration and documentation of structural requirements for the Fuselage primary structure.
• Coordinates with other engineering groups to establish load cases and interfaces.
• Guides product design and verifies structural integrity throughout the lifecycle.
• Leads development of test plans, supports test execution and analyzes results.
• Documents certification and test results for customers and regulators.
• Supports in-service products by leading investigations into failures and improvements.
• Develops analytical processes/tools to improve development efficiency.
• Mentors developing team members and supports DER/AR/E-UM related documentation.
