Job summary

The role requires a BS in engineering and 9+ years of experience, with 5+ years in wing/empennage stress, and 3+ years in composite structures.

Qualifications

BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, or Materials) is required.
9+ years related work experience; 5+ years stress analysis on wings/empennage.
3+ years stress analysis on composite structures.
Experience with aircraft heavy structures and production systems.

Responsibilities

Performs lead-level stress analysis on Boeing 787 Wing/Empennage primary structures.
Uses hand analysis, FE tools, and dynamic simulation tools for analyses.
Reviews and signs off supplier documents and reports.
Leads development and documentation of structural requirements.
Coordinates with teams for loads, interfaces, and environment.
Guides design and verifies structural integrity through lifecycle.
Develops test plans, supports tests, and analyzes results.
Documents certification/test results for CFR Part 25 compliance.
Investigates failures and suggests improvements for in-service products.
Develops analytical processes/tools to improve efficiency.
Mentors developing team members; supports the growth of a new organization.
Prepares CFR Part 25 certification documentation.
Collaborates with domestic and international partners/suppliers.
Applies CFR Part 21/Part 25 and interacts with regulators.
