Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combo of education and experience.
• 3+ years of experience performing stress analysis on Interiors or related structures.
• 1+ years of experience with Buyer-Furnished and Supplier-Furnished Equipment.
• Experience with manufacturing/production systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform stress analysis on Boeing 787 Interior products using hand methods, FEM tools, and dynamic simulation.
• Review supplier documents to support engineering oversight including drawings, analyses, tests, and reports.
• Develop and document structural requirements for interior commodity designs.
• Coordinate with other groups on loads, interfaces, and environment for the product.
• Guide design and verify structural integrity throughout the product lifecycle.
• Develop test plans, support execution, and analyze results to verify compliance.
• Document certification/test results to meet customer/regulatory requirements.
• Support in-service products by investigating failures and improvements.
• Develop certification documentation to support CFR Part 25 Type Cert projects.
• Collaborate with domestic and international partners/suppliers and mentor new engineers.
