Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, or Materials).
• Level 3: 5+ years of related work experience or equivalent.
• Level 4: 9+ years of related work experience or equivalent.
• Experience with hand calculations and CAD/FEM tools (NX/Teamcenter, ABAQUS, PATRAN/NASTRAN, StressCheck, HyperWorks).
• Ability to obtain US Citizenship and US Security Clearance (interim/final).

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate and document structural requirements to establish the system design.
• Coordinate with engineering groups to define the product environment.
• Guide design and verify structural integrity using analytical methods and FEM throughout the lifecycle.
• Develop test plans, support test execution and analyze results to verify requirements.
• Document certification and test results for customers and regulatory agencies.
• Support in-service products by investigating failures and improvements.
