Job summary

The Boeing Company in North Charleston, SC is seeking a Senior Structural Analysis Engineer to lead the Systems Stress work on the 787 airframe. You will perform stress analyses with hand methods, FEM, and dynamic simulations while guiding supplier document reviews and certification efforts.

You will mentor junior engineers, define structural requirements for aircraft systems, coordinate loads interfaces with cross-functional teams, and drive tests and analyses to ensure regulatory and design

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering with mechanical/aerospace focus.
• 9+ years of related experience.
• 5+ years of stress analysis on airplane systems.
• 3+ years in classical hand analysis methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead level stress analysis on Boeing 787 aircraft systems.
• Perform stress analysis using hand methods, FEM, and dynamic simulations.
• Review and sign off supplier documents and reports.
• Develop and document structural requirements for airframe systems.
• Coordinate with other engineering groups on loads and interfaces.
• Lead test plans and verify test results.
