Job summary

Atoms is building the machines for the next era of progress in San Francisco. You will own the safety case end to end, from first draft to signed, and work with safety, validation, and fleet teams to defend the argument with solid evidence.

You will define scope, exclusions, and hazards, guiding reviewers and ensuring robust validation across the fleet. The role requires hands-on hazard analysis, scenario-based validation, and strong writing precision.

Qualifications

• Authored a structured safety argument (GSN or equivalent) on a real system and defended it.
• Demonstrated hazard analysis ownership (HARA, FMEA, FTA or equivalent).
• Proven scenario-based validation ownership and hands-on experience with fleet operations.

Responsibilities

• Own the safety case end to end, from first draft to signed, and manage upkeep when dependencies change.
• Define scope, exclusions, and hazard controls; ensure robust evidence coverage.
• Convene reviews, address reviewer comments, and represent the argument in front of stakeholders.
