Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking a Senior Functional Analyst for a 100% remote U.S. based role in the Veterans Affairs domain.

The position requires SAFe/Agile expertise, strong communication, and experience capturing and documenting complex requirements for software development teams. The applicant should be able to work with stakeholders, IT, and leadership to deliver well-documented user stories and acceptance criteria.

Qualifications

Experience with SAFe and Agile methodologies.
Strong communication to non-technical audiences.
Detail-oriented with problem-solving abilities.
Experience in large Agile software development or data integration projects.
US citizenship or security eligibility.

Responsibilities

Lead the capture of business requirements for software development teams.
Document requirements in an ALM tool (JIRA) and manage requirements.
Perform Agile requirement management for a product team.
Analyze user needs to determine functional, cross-functional, and technical requirements.
Conduct user interviews and develop business process models and specifications.
Elaborate user stories and decompose them into backlog items with acceptance criteria.
Manage and track requirements, tests, and defects in ALM tools.
Coordinate with Systems Engineers to assess impacts on technical solutions.
Develop Change Requests and maintain traceability among requirements, tests, and risks.
