Syms Strategic Group, LLC is hiring a Senior Functional Analyst for a 100% remote, U.S.-based role. The position requires strong SAFe/Agile experience, excellent communication, and proven ability to lead requirements capture for software development teams.

You will document requirements in ALM/JIRA, manage backlogs, conduct user interviews, develop business process models, and coordinate with IT, business users, and leadership. A Master’s in Engineering and U.S.

Qualifications

Strong background in software development and SAFe methodologies.
Excellent oral and written communication with the ability to explain technical topics to diverse audiences.
10+ years of professional experience; Master’s degree preferred.
Master’s degree in Engineering or related field.
U.S. Citizenship required for this opportunity.
Public Trust (MBI) clearance or ability to obtain.
Experience with JIRA and ALM tools.
Experience with Federal health agencies is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead the capture of business requirements for software development teams.
Document requirements in an ALM tool and manage them in the backlog.
Perform Agile requirement management for a product team.
Conduct user interviews and develop business process models and formal specifications.
Coordinate with customers, IT, and leadership to document requirements.
Elaborate user stories and decompose into backlog items with acceptance criteria.
Use JIRA for requirements management, testing, and defect tracking.
Manage risks, issues, and change control across projects.
Mentor junior analysts and develop SME capabilities.
