Job summary
Syms Strategic Group (SSG) seeks a Senior Functional Analyst II for remote operation supporting Veterans Affairs. This role leads requirements capture for software teams, documents in ALM tools, and drives SAFe agile practices across multiple projects.
Strong communication and analytical skills required; federal IT experience preferred. The position requires collaboration with business users, IT, and leadership, with emphasis on backlog management, user stories, acceptance criteria, and change
Qualifications
- Strong background in software development and SAFe methodologies.
- Excellent oral and written communication with non-technical audiences.
- Attention to detail, customer service, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience conducting independent research to resolve questions.
- Proficient with MS Office, including Excel.
- Experience with JIRA and large Agile projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead the capture of business requirements for software development teams.
- Collaborate with users, IT, and leadership to document requirements in ALM.
- Manage requirements in an ALM tool and perform backlog refinement.
- Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, and traceability.
- Coordinate with Systems Engineers on impact to solutions.
- Support change control and risk/issue tracking across projects.
- Deliver project documents to the client and track execution metrics.
