Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking a Senior Functional Analyst - II to lead the capture of business requirements for software development teams and to collaborate with business users, IT, and leadership in an agile SAFe environment.
The role focuses on eliciting, documenting, and managing requirements in ALM tools (JIRA), refining the backlog, ensuring traceability, and delivering clear acceptance criteria while mentoring junior analysts and coordinating with Systems Engineers on impact
Qualifications
- Experience with SAFe/agile methodologies in software development.
- Excellent written and oral communication to diverse audiences.
- Attention to detail, problem solving, and customer service oriented.
- 10 years of professional experience as a baseline.
- Advanced MS Office experience, especially Excel.
- Experience with JIRA and requirements management.
Responsibilities
- Lead capture of business requirements for software teams.
- Collaborate with users, IT, and leadership to elaborate requirements in ALM.
- Manage requirements in ALM tool and perform backlog refinement.
- Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, and traceability across tests.
- Coordinate with Systems Engineers on impact to technical solutions.
- Mentor junior analysts and deliver project documentation to clients.
