Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC seeks a Senior Functional Analyst II to drive requirements for software teams in a remote setting. You will collaborate with business users, IT, and leadership to elicit, document, and manage requirements in ALM tools and to support Agile product teams throughout the lifecycle.

Required are strong SAFe/Agile experience, exceptional communication, and hands-on JIRA expertise. A Master’s degree in Engineering or related field is preferred, with a Public Trust level

Qualifications

• SAFe/Scaled Agile experience required.
• Excellent written and oral communication with technical audiences.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Experience performing independent research to resolve complex questions.
• Advanced MS Office skills, esp. Excel.
• Strong analytical abilities with cross-source data integration.
• Experience using JIRA for requirements, testing and defects.
• Experience on large, Agile software development or data integration projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the capture of business requirements for software development teams.
• Collaborate with users, IT, and leadership to document requirements in an ALM tool.
• Manage requirements in an ALM tool.
• Perform Agile requirement management for a product team.
• Analyze user needs to determine functional and technical requirements.
• Lead sessions, model business processes, and develop formal specifications.
• Document requirements and acceptance criteria; ensure traceability.
• Use JIRA for requirements, testing and defect management and backlog items.
