Job summary

MedscapeLIVE! seeks a highly autonomous Lead Software Developer to anchor the team and drive innovations for our registration portals and live events.

You will lead both stateside and offshore teams, enforce code quality, automate workflows, and ensure deployments have zero downtime. With 5+ years in web development and CMS architecture, you will mentor staff, push API integrations, and guide strategic planning for global platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in web development with leadership and CMS architecture
• Experience with medical experts and medical content (MLR submissions a plus) is advantageous
• Expert-level proficiency in front-end and full-stack technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, XML
• Experience managing offshore resources, conducting code reviews, and driving product roadmaps
• Strong analytical skills and ability to untangle legacy code; push automation and continuous improvement
• Familiarity with version control and API integrations; working with STOVA/Sitecore
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business impact for leadership

Responsibilities

• Lead stateside and offshore development teams for proprietary web apps and educational platforms
• Enforce code integrity, conduct reviews, and mentor junior developers
• Automate repetitive workflows and build advanced technical solutions
• Set standards for responsiveness and cross‑platform compatibility and ensure zero-downtime deployments
• Escalate platform-breaking bugs and patch live events quickly
• Maintain technical documentation, diagrams and SOPs for various software frameworks
• Manage large-scale projects and long-term strategic planning for development infrastructure
