Job summary

Cognitive Medical Systems Inc is seeking a Senior Java Software Developer, Technical Lead for the DDPS and PRS applications. This remote role supports the CMS CI/CD pipeline and leads sprint delivery in a SAFe environment.

The candidate will mentor developers, ensure 80% automated test coverage, and collaborate with architects and program managers while working from home in approved states.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; 8+ years in software development including 3+ years in a lead role.
Experience with Agentic AI or AI-assisted development tools.
Experience with Python tests (Pytest/UnitTest) and AWS services.

Responsibilities

Lead sprint-level development execution; manage workload, sprint commitments, and backlog refinement.
Own development of the invoice, dispute, outlier, and reconciliation system; lead legacy system maintenance.
Enforce 80% automated test coverage; ensure secure code reviews and coding standards.
Deliver code through the CMS CI/CD pipeline: GitHub, Jenkins/CloudBees, Artifactory/XRay, SonarQube, Snyk.
Mentor Senior and mid-level Java/AWS developers; conduct code reviews and reduce technical debt.
Support AI-assisted development using CMS-approved tools; contribute to AI Use Case Inventory.
Participate in PI Planning, sprint ceremonies, and Demo presentations to CMS stakeholders.
