Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Senior Software Engineer and Technical Lead for the IT Digital Employee Experience team. You will own end-to-end software projects, architect full-stack applications on the Databricks Platform, and build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines ingesting from enterprise SaaS systems.

You will implement identity controls (Okta, OAuth, RBAC/RLS) and deploy MCP servers to integrate internal tools with AI assistants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with full-stack proficiency across backend, frontend, and data engineering.
• Python expertise as a primary language for production apps and services.
• Hands-on cloud experience with AWS and/or Azure.
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and ensuring data quality.
• Security-focused development with IAM, RBAC/RLS, and identity management.
• Familiarity with LLM tooling, MCP servers, and AI feature integration.
• Ability to author architecture docs, lead projects, and mentor engineers.

Responsibilities

• Own software projects end-to-end: architecture, delivery, and maintenance.
• Design and build production full-stack web and mobile applications.
• Architect scalable data pipelines ingesting data from enterprise SaaS systems.
• Implement authentication/authorization using Okta, OAuth, RBAC/RLS.
• Develop MCP servers to connect internal tools with AI assistants.
• Lead DevOps with CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and secret management.
• Collaborate with security, legal, HR, and finance to align requirements.
