Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to grow the AI/BI Dashboard product and service platform. You will tackle full-stack and backend challenges, enabling fast, high-quality dashboard authoring and AI insights, while scaling the service for millions of users across the Databricks platform.

You will report to the Director of Engineering and lead multiple teams, guiding talent growth, defining vision, and balancing performance, cost, and quality in a fast-paced, global environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in managing multiple teams that build and operate products and systems in a SaaS environment.
• 10+ years of experience with distributed systems and building products, platforms and services.
• Experience scaling engineering teams from 15 to 35+ people.
• Team player capable of working with PM, CS and engineering teams across locations.
• BS or higher in Computer Science, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple engineering teams of full-stack/backend engineers and SMEs as well as managers.
• Oversee recruitment of top IC talent and managers and develop talent across teams.
• Create processes to implement product vision and strategy aligned with goals.
• Build software that is high quality and easy to operate.
• Manage technical debt and long-term architecture decisions while balancing roadmap.
