Job summary

Databricks Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to grow the AI/BI Dashboard product and service platform. You will lead multiple full-stack/backend teams and drive the end-to-end delivery of dashboards, AI insights, and BI features across the Databricks platform.

The role emphasizes balancing performance, cost, and quality while applying AI/LLM techniques in product surfaces. You will report to the Director of Engineering and shape the roadmap, recruiting talent and building scalable

Qualifications

6+ years of experience in managing multiple teams that build and operate SaaS products and systems.
10+ years of experience with distributed systems and enterprise-scale platforms.
Experience scaling engineering teams from 15 to 35+.
BS or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
Strong track record of attracting, hiring, and retaining top engineering talent.
Ability to collaborate with PM, CS and other departments.

Responsibilities

Lead multiple engineering teams of full-stack/backend engineers and SMEs, as well as managers, focused on the above initiatives.
Oversee sustained recruitment of top-tier IC talent and managers, and developing talent across the teams.
Build processes to implement product vision and strategy, according to organizational goals and priorities.
Build software that is not just high quality, but easy to operate.
Manage technical debt, including long-term architecture decisions, and balance the product roadmap.
