Job summary

PENN Entertainment, Inc. is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer for the Client Platform with remote options across the United States.

You’ll work on cutting-edge online gaming and sports media platforms, contributing to the server-driven UI service and federated GraphQL schemas for iOS, Android, and web clients. You will design and ship customer-focused features with React and TypeScript, collaborate with product/design teams, and improve performance and observability across services, including

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software engineering.
• 2+ years designing GraphQL schemas for multi-client surfaces.
• Strong CS fundamentals and distributed systems knowledge.
• Experience with production performance tuning and on-call rotations.
• API development in Node or Bun, or similar server frameworks.
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerized services.
• Proficient in React and TypeScript; testing with Jest/Vitest or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve GraphQL schemas in a federated graph for multiple clients.
• Develop and optimize GraphQL APIs, RPCs, and SQL queries behind web surfaces.
• Build front-end apps with React and TypeScript and shared libraries.
• Collaborate with product/design to ship customer-facing features.
• Improve observability; set up monitoring and alerting in DataDog.
• Maintain code quality, address bottlenecks, and mentor teammates.
• Participate in design, architecture, and delivery of new features.
• Write thorough tests and strengthen CI/CD pipelines.
