Job summary

EncorEstate Plans, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer who loves building products, solving problems, and creating clarity in complex systems. You’ll work directly with the CTO and a small, collaborative team to design, build, and evolve software used by financial advisors every day.

This remote U.S. role requires availability during Pacific and Central Time overlaps, with occasional team-building travel.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience in a startup, small-team, or entrepreneurial environment with ownership and adaptability.
• Experience shipping and maintaining production software.
• Owned meaningful features, systems, or technical initiatives end-to-end.
• Enjoy solving ambiguous problems and creating clarity where none exists.
• Care about simplicity, maintainability, and thoughtful engineering.

Responsibilities

• Build product features end-to-end from concept to production with focus on usability and quality.
• Lead technical decisions, identify risks early, and clarify evolving requirements.
• Move fast with AI; accelerate coding, testing, and prototyping.
• Own outcomes by understanding customer needs and delivering measurable impact.
• Raise the bar by mentoring others through reviews and knowledge sharing.
