Job summary

Hopper is seeking a Sr Full Stack Engineer for its Customer Experience Platform, with Barcelona or remote work options. You will own the voice channel end-to-end, integrate CPaaS like Twilio and Amazon Connect, and build streaming STT/TTS pipelines while delivering across React/TypeScript front ends, and backend services in Scala and Python on GCP/AWS.

You’ll design for multi-tenant scale, ensure safety/compliance, monitor latency and SLA performance, and mentor teammates through architecture

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering with senior ownership of production systems.
• Realtime voice/streaming experience or low-latency systems.
• Strong frontend (React/TypeScript) and backend (Scala or Python).
• Cloud infra experience on GCP or AWS.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Familiarity with AI coding tools in workflow.

Responsibilities

• Own the voice channel end-to-end, incl. telephony and CPaaS integrations (Twilio, Amazon Connect).
• Build streaming speech-to-text and text-to-speech pipelines; realtime model orchestration.
• Develop features across stack: React/TypeScript frontend, Scala/Python services, GCP/AWS infra.
• Design for multi-tenant scale with a single codebase across partners.
• Implement safety, auditing, and PII redaction integration points.
• Maintain health via observability, alerts, incidents, and SLA performance.
• Support go-lives and onboarding of partner telephony integrations.
• Mentor teammates through code reviews and architecture discussions.
