Job summary

Beacon Hill Technologies seeks a senior full-stack software engineer to build world-class frontend and backend solutions for a growing enterprise. You will work with product and engineering leaders, mentor teammates, and drive architectural decisions for mission-critical systems.

Requirements include 5+ years of production experience, strong React/Next.js/TypeScript, and backend skills in Java/Kotlin/Spring. AWS/GCP, Kafka, and observability tools are valued as well.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production systems full-stack experience across frontend and backend.
• Strong experience with React, Next.js and TypeScript.
• Backend expertise with Kotlin, Java, Spring or similar.
• Experience building APIs and working with SQL databases (MariaDB, Postgres).
• Understanding of distributed systems and asynchronous processing.
• Experience with AWS or GCP and containerized environments.
• Observability tooling experience (Grafana/OpenTelemetry).
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows and agentic patterns.
• Experience with Kafka and event-streaming systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and teamwork skills.
• Experience with 3rd-party integrations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build world-class frontend and backend solutions across systems.
• Collaborate with product and engineering leaders to drive high-impact projects.
• Contribute to technical decisions and mentor team members.
• Own the software development lifecycle including design, testing and deployment.
• Ensure observability through logs, metrics, and tracing.
• Help shape engineering practices and AI-assisted development workflows.
