AppFolio is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our Affordable Housing team in San Francisco. You will become a technical domain expert in this complex regulatory space and help build a SaaS product used by thousands of businesses.

You will work with a collaborative, agile team to own features end-to-end and continually raise the bar on engineering excellence. You will design scalable web solutions, mentor peers, and stay current with industry trends while delivering

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in software engineering teams.
Comfortable working with remote team members.
Ability to think pragmatically and balance business outcomes with technical goals.
Ability to establish strong working relationships with peers across other platform development teams.

Responsibilities

Build a deep understanding of our existing Affordable Housing segment, enabling you to own the domain.
Develop scalable, robust, and simple web-based solutions to solve complex business problems.
Help mentor and guide other software engineers.
Implement new features and optimize existing ones to drive performance.
Work closely with engineers, QA, product owners, and designers; take ownership of your problem space.
Work in an agile fashion to deliver thin slices and limit work in progress.
Research, share, and recommend new technologies and trends.
Hold a high bar of engineering excellence; adopt best practices and conduct code reviews.
Prioritize quality with test-driven development and continuous integration.
