Job summary

Brivo, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and build scalable web services for a global security system. The role is hybrid, requiring two to three days on-site at the Bethesda, MD HQ.

You will own architecture and delivery of high-availability API services powering Brivo's Access Control platform, guiding technical roadmap, and mentoring the team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing, developing, and deploying scalable software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Spend ~70% of time coding, architecting and developing API services.
• Deliver responsive UI with React/TypeScript.
• Drive ADRs and participate in code reviews and design sessions.
• Own Cloud Infra and deployment pipelines with AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
• Collaborate with product, design, and QA in an Agile team.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize PostgreSQL models.
• Mentor teammates and promote best practices across engineering.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve architecture.
