Job summary

Braven is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to lead the design and delivery of the platform, tools, and automation powering Braven's programs. The role focuses on end-to-end, full-stack initiatives across learning platform, data systems, and AI automation, with ownership of architecture and code reviews.

You will mentor engineers, enforce testing and observability, and collaborate across technical and non-technical teams while aligning with Braven's mission to impact students' lives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong full-stack proficiency across backend, frontend, and database design, with experience in Ruby on Rails, Python, React, PostgreSQL, BigQuery and Git.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end full-stack initiatives across the platform, data pipelines, and program automation.
• Review code and architecture proposals; mentor engineers to grow.
• Champion testing, observability, and engineering best practices; improve processes and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams; stay current with AI tooling, security, and data privacy.
