Job summary

Vitalize Care is building a labor and capacity operating system for health systems, starting with staffing decisions in hospitals. You’ll own the decision engine that turns complex clinical workflows into reliable software that recommends and eventually executes staffing actions.

Work directly with clinicians and product teams to refine rules, improve confidence, and explain decisions. This role requires strong Typescript skills, systems thinking, and customer-facing collaboration.

Qualifications

• Strong Typescript expertise and frontend/backend cross-stack experience.
• Ability to reason about complex edge cases and maintainability.
• Comfort working directly with customers to gather feedback.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement the decision engine behind staffing recommendations and alerts.
• Own systems balancing staffing rules, hospital policies, patient needs, and operations.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineers to ship usable software for customers.
• Engage with clinical leaders to understand real-world staffing decisions and constraints.
• Explain why a recommendation was made to enable validation or override.
• Define where automation ends and human judgment begins to safely scale hospital operations.
