Job summary

Agility Partners is seeking a Staff Engineer to serve as a full-stack developer and technical leader in a healthcare technology environment. You will design and build multi-layer software systems, mentor teammates, and partner with product management to deliver secure, scalable solutions on an agile team.

The role emphasizes hands-on development with leadership, cloud-native design, and robust testing, monitoring, and security practices to support critical healthcare workflows.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Strong Python and at least one of TypeScript or Java.
Deep AWS experience and IaC with Terraform.
Proven leadership, mentoring, and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

Design and implement features across full software stack with scalable architectures.
Lead technical sizing, performance troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
Define testing strategies including TDD/BDD and security testing.
Mentor engineers and drive adoption of best practices.
Build data ingestion/processing solutions for analytical workloads.
