Job summary

LightFeather seeks a Senior Full Stack Engineer to support a federal government client in modernizing critical mission systems. You will own full stack delivery, translating complex legacy behavior into scalable software, with a focus on modern platform-based architecture and Palantir as the target modernization platform.

The role is fully remote (EST hours) with salary 90,000–115,000 USD annually, and requires U.S. citizenship for clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent).
• 7+ years of hands-on full stack software development experience.
• Experience with Java and Spring Boot frameworks.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and relational data access.
• Strong Agile or iterative delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications for modernization.
• Analyze legacy systems to identify core functionality and optimize workflows.
• Translate requirements into scalable, modern architecture.
• Develop backend services, APIs, and integration layers.
• Build and enhance front-end components using modern technologies.
• Support the full SDLC and participate in code reviews.
