Job summary

LightFeather is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to support a federal government client in modernizing critical mission systems. You will own full stack delivery with a focus on translating complex legacy behavior into clean, scalable software.

The current environment includes large legacy systems managing operational workflows, with business rules, manual processes, and tightly coupled functionality. The client is adopting Palantir as the modernization platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of hands-on full stack software development experience.
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and modern front-end tech.
• Experience with enterprise or complex systems and Agile environments.
• Ability to analyze and simplify complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications for modernization.
• Analyze legacy workflows to identify core functionality.
• Translate operational requirements into scalable designs.
• Develop backend services, APIs, and integration layers.
• Build front-end components using modern technologies.
• Support the full SDLC and troubleshoot across layers.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and participate in code reviews.
