Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead the development of scalable full‑stack cloud‑native applications on Azure. You will design microservices with Java 11+, implement REST/GraphQL APIs, and build Angular front‑ends with NgRx for state management.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate across teams, and help ensure security, performance, and regulatory compliance in a fast‑paced healthcare technology environment.

Qualifications

10+ years of backend development experience with full‑stack capabilities.
Proven ability to lead development in Java 11+ and Spring Boot.
Experience with Microservices, REST API development, and GraphQL is a plus.
Cloud‑native SaaS application development on Azure.

Responsibilities

Architect, design, and implement microservices with Java 11+ and Spring Boot.
Build cloud‑native SaaS apps on Azure using PaaS services.
Develop frontend interfaces with Angular/TypeScript/HTML/CSS.
Mentor junior engineers and drive architecture decisions.
Collaborate in an Agile Scrum/Kanban environment.
