Job summary

Abbott is seeking an Associate Staff Software Engineer to build and evolve full stack cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure. You will design microservices, leverage Angular front-end tech, and work within a regulated healthcare SaaS platform.

Bring 6+ years of backend experience, Java 11+, Spring Boot, and Azure PaaS familiarity. You will mentor engineers, collaborate across teams, and contribute to architecture while ensuring performance and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in software engineering, CS, or related field.
• 6+ years of backend development experience with leadership experience.
• Proficiency with Java 11+, Spring Boot, microservices and REST API development.
• Experience with Azure Cloud and Azure PaaS services.
• Frontend skills including Angular/TypeScript are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement microservices using Java/Spring Boot.
• Build cloud-native SaaS apps on Azure.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive architectural decisions.
