Job summary

NinjaOne is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer for its Emerging Products team. You will work primarily on backend services in Java/Kotlin while enabling front-end experiences with React/TypeScript.

Expect to collaborate with data platform, reporting, product design, and owners to build scalable, data-driven products from the ground up. You will design APIs, optimize data access, and ship end-to-end features.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of software development experience building production applications, with strong experience in Java.
• 4+ years of experience working with highly scalable software systems.
• Strong understanding of OOP design principles, data structures, and object-oriented design.
• Knowledge of API best practices and experience developing REST / GraphQL services. gRPC experience is a plus.
• Comfortable writing, analyzing, and troubleshooting SQL with experience in relational database design and development.
• Expert knowledge of software quality and testing practices, including unit, integration, API, and front-end testing.
• 2+ years of experience with React and modern front-end application development.
• Strong TypeScript/JavaScript fundamentals, including using TypeScript to establish maintainable contracts across components, APIs, and layers.
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, browser fundamentals, and accessibility.
• Experience building reusable React components and working within established front-end architectures.
• Ability to debug and troubleshoot front-end issues across rendering, network, state-management, and browser problems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience leveraging AI tooling to accelerate software development.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the API and serving layer powering data-intensive product experiences using REST and GraphQL.
• Develop scalable backend services using Java and Kotlin focusing on API-first architecture, performance, and reliability.
• Build data-driven product experiences that transform large data into actionable insights, dashboards, and workflows.
• Design and optimize data access patterns across APIs, databases, caches, and analytics sources.
• Build and maintain React/TypeScript user interfaces, dashboards, forms, and workflows with reusable components.
• Take ownership of features end-to-end from architecture through deployment and monitoring.
