Job summary

NinjaOne is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Patching team. You will mainly work on backend Java/Kotlin and contribute to React-based UI for patching workflows, deployed across diverse endpoint environments.

You will collaborate with AI workflow, server, and platform teams to extend NinjaOne's patch management at scale, participating in design reviews and cross-team initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of experience in Java software development for product applications, or equivalent, with solid expertise in Kotlin.
• 2+ years of experience with React for front-end development; comfort building UI components.
• 4+ years of experience working with highly scalable software systems.
• Experience leveraging AI tooling to accelerate software development.
• Working knowledge of OOP design principles; scaling data structures and object-oriented design.
• Knowledge of API best practices and REST service development with Jersey or Spring.
• Relational database design and development experience.
• Experience with both client- and server-side development for responsive messaging.
• Caching systems expertise
• Expert knowledge of quality testing practices, including front-end testing frameworks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Extend and maintain patch and software definitions across OS platforms and third-party applications.
• Java and Kotlin backend development to expose patch management platform functions for extensibility.
• Build and maintain React-based UI components for patching workflows and dashboards.
• Collaborate with AI workflow, server, and platform teams to enable reliable, scalable patch delivery.
• Participate in architecture and design reviews to build high-quality, API-first software.
• Troubleshoot production issues across the stack using logs, metrics, and traces.
• Participate in code reviews and document processes; lead cross-team initiatives.
• Other duties as needed.
