Job summary

NinjaOne is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Emerging Products team in the USA. You will design and build backend services in Java/Kotlin and front-end in React/TypeScript, delivering data-driven products and dashboards at enterprise scale.

You’ll work on API-first architecture, performance, and reliability, collaborating with data platform, reporting, and design teams, while leveraging AI-assisted development tools to boost productivity and product impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of software development experience building production applications with strong experience in Java.
• 4+ years of experience working with highly scalable software systems.
• Knowledge of API best practices and experience developing REST/GraphQL services (gRPC a plus).
• Comfortable writing, analyzing, and troubleshooting SQL with relational database design and development.
• 2+ years of experience with React and modern frontend application development.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the API and serving layer powering data-intensive product experiences using REST and/or GraphQL APIs.
• Develop scalable backend services using Java and Kotlin with a focus on API-first architecture, performance, reliability, and extensibility.
• Build data-driven product experiences transforming large data volumes into insights, dashboards, and workflows.
• Design and optimize data access patterns across APIs, relational databases, caching layers, and analytical sources.
• Build and maintain React/TypeScript user experiences including dashboards, forms, workflows, and components.
• Establish clear contracts between frontend applications, APIs, and backend services; participate in architecture reviews.
• Identify and solve performance and scalability bottlenecks; troubleshoot production issues across stack.
• Instrument frontend apps with observability and telemetry; leverage AI tooling to accelerate development.
• Take ownership of features end-to-end from architecture to deployment and monitoring.
