Job summary

HighLevel is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer (Full Stack) to join the Agency Module, Platform Billing, and Onboarding team. You will build scalable backend services and design data models that support onboarding, subscriptions, and billing for 100K+ agencies.

You’ll collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to deliver reliable, secure, and high-performance frontend and backend features, shaping the agency lifecycle on a fast, remote-first platform.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on software engineering experience building and scaling backend and frontend systems.
• Strong backend skills with Node.js, TypeScript, API development, data modeling, and system design (NestJS preferred).
• Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, distributed systems and cross-service communication.
• Experience with MongoDB and Redis, data modeling, query design and performance tuning.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Pub/Sub).
• Familiarity with AI/LLM development and AI-assisted workflows.
• Frontend experience with Vue.js, React, or Angular; Vue.js preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture, design, and development of Agency Module, Onboarding, and Platform Billing.
• Design and build scalable backend services, APIs, and integrations with Stripe and other platforms.
• Develop frontend experiences for agency management, onboarding, and billing workflows with modern frameworks.
• Drive technical decisions, trade-offs, and feature ownership from design to production.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, testing, and quality while maintaining security.
• Build data models and queries across Firestore, MongoDB, ClickHouse, and Elasticsearch.
• Participate in the full SDLC and contribute to production support and on-call duties.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Follow best practices for security, scalability, maintainability, testing, and documentation.
