Ersilia in New York City is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to own greenfield projects across the full stack, from backend to frontend, in a fast-growing AI healthcare startup with real user impact. You should bring 3-5+ years of experience, strong Python and TypeScript expertise, and a track record of building scalable distributed systems.

The role offers hybrid work (4 days in-office in Midtown NYC), visa sponsorship, and competitive equity as part of the compensation package.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in full-stack software engineering with a strong Python foundation.
• 2+ years at an early-stage VC-backed startup.
• BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• Proficient in TypeScript end-to-end (frontend, backend, and infra).
• Experience building and scaling distributed systems in production.
• Nice to have: experience at a big tech company or tier-one startup.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver greenfield projects across the full stack (backend, infrastructure, and frontend).
• Evolve and scale backend architecture as the platform grows.
• Build and ship end-to-end features in a TypeScript-first environment on serverless AWS infrastructure.
• Collaborate with the Director of Engineering and founding team with short feedback loops and autonomy.
• Help establish engineering standards and technical culture as an early team member.
